James Wan ist eher bekannt als Regisseur billiger, aber dafür umso erfolgreicheren, Horrorfilme und jetzt macht er mit Fast & Furious 7 (Furious 7) seinen eigenen Fast Five, ob das gut ist, hängt vom eigenen Geschmack ab.
Mit Guardians of the Galaxy versucht Marvel Sudios ihr Film Universum zu erweitern und tiefer ins All vorzustoßen als sie es bisher taten. James Gunn wurde mit der Aufgabe betreut diese mehrheitlich unbekannte Comic-Reihezu nehmen und in einen erfolgreichen Film umzuwandeln und dabei seinen eigenen Stempel aufzudrücken, um eine andere Art vom Marvel Film zu kreieren. Gelingt es ihm und dem Cast rund um Chris Pratt diese anspruchsvollen Forderungen zu erfüllen?
A week ago Justin Lin declared that he would not helm the seventh and final (?) entry in the lucrative Fast and Furious Franchise. According to Lin the studio’s decision to fast forward Fast and Furious 7 until summer 2014 he would not have sufficient time to finish Fast and Furious 6.
After some rumors it was surprisingly quick confirmed that James Wan (Saw, Insidious) would helm part 7. Wan is currently working on his horror movie The Conjuring after delivering the surprise hit Insidious.
2011’s Fast Five was one of the action flicks I enjoyed the most (along with Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol) and reassured me that there is hope for over the top action entertainment. Maybe I enjoyed Fast Five so much because I had little to no interest in seeing it beforehand but anyways it is still on hard rotation in my Blu-Ray drive.
Therefore I am naturally looking forward to the sixth installment: Fast and Furious 6.
