Once again we are back in Westeros and with Dark Wings, Dark Words we have now finished a two hours reintroduction to the lands of Ice and Fire. Two hours to sufficiently catch up with all the characters! This alone shows how much the scope of this series has expanded and Game of Thrones might have reached the point where it would be better to watch the entire season in one sitting and not in weekly episodes.
A black screen, the sound of swords and we cut to a frightened Samwell Tarly running through a snowstorm. A mutilated body and an attack later we are faced with the grim remains of the Nightswatch being the only hope to warn the people of Westeros.

Game of Thrones returns for its third season – and if you ask anyone who has read the books they will swear that the third book A Storm of Swords is the most action packed story with a lot of twists waiting for us. It is because of this super-dense plot that the third book will be split into 2 seasons but the producers already stated that they stop thinking “one book per season” as they did with seasons 1 and 2.
And this year flipthetruck will closely follow each episode!
It has been a long time since there was some active development on The Dark Tower the massive adaption of Stephen King’s story into 3 movies and 2 Television Seasons. After Universal dropped out of the project (despite not dropping out of Battleship) the series seemed doomed, but now there is hope along the beam:
