Vanity fair is featuring a big Game of Thrones special and aside from some pretty nice pictures they also get some interesting comments from showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss as well as book author George R.R. Martin’s concerns about the show possibly outpacing the books:
In just 4 weeks the fourth Season of Game of Thrones will return. Riding on many promises (for example that this year there won’t be a “Episode 9” meaning the episode where everything goes haywire but instead many episodes fighting for that title) I can’t wait to find out how the tables will be turned this year. Now HBO has unveiled yet another trailer for Season 4 and there is still a recap video of Seasons 1-3 to come similarly to what they did in the previous years. Chances are that you might be hearing it a bit more often. Game of Thrones starts to embrace the magic aspect not only within its storylines but also when it comes to marketing strategies. HBO has now released the official poster for Season 4 and it keeps the white tone of Season 3 (contrary to the black themed first two posters) but more importantly it features a creature that might start to talk this Season:
HBO has released 18 character posters for the upcoming fourth Season featuring the saying Valar Morghulis – All men must die – which started to feature in the final episode of the second season. Naturally I want to give a spoiler warning to people who have not caught up yet since the images naturally give away who is still alive in the fourth Season (and with Game of Thrones you are pretty lucky if you are still around in Season 4 and also who will be less prominent in Season 4):
HBO has released 17 new images for the upcoming fourth season of Game of Thrones. They are pretty much character posters that don’t give much away for the upcoming stories. But it is nice to see the characters who will return on April 6th for the battle raging on in the world created by George R.R. Martin.

Game of Thrones returns on April 6th. And after the disastrous events of Season 3 that will surely affect this coming Season I am pumped to find out what lies ahead of us. HBO has aired a roughly 100 seconds long teaser filled with cool stuff. So this article will go into what the trailer promises us for the series to come.
Note on spoilers: as usual this article is written without knowledge from the books. It is about the expectations for Game of Thrones as a piece of television and not as an adaption so there won’t be a discussion if a certain scene or actor seems to capture or not capture stuff from the book.
It will be fun revisiting this article after the season has passed because one thing is sure about Game of Thrones: my predictions are almost always far far off from what really happens.
