It started with a planecrash on a deserted island and what followed was a television phenomenon that would span 5 seasons of intricate puzzles – and a final season which pretended that it has never been about the riddles after all.
But no matter how disappointing the “have-the-cake-and-eat-it”- finale has been before this Lost was undeniably a fantastic show and the disappointment over the ending just shows the craftsmanship behind the storytelling.

Christmas plays a very important role in what is probably my favorite Stephen Spielberg movie Catch Me If You Can. Based on the true story of Frank W. Abagnale it features Leonardo DiCaprio who becomes one of the most sought after counterfeiters.

Writing a blog in English has one regrettable downside – recommending movies in your mother language is difficult in English – especially Austrian movies which are already incomprehensible for people from Germany left alone any other country.

Monty Python’s The Life of Brian is one of the most provocative comedies of all time and contrary to people who have never seen the movie (or are deliberately misinterpreting it) it does not make fun of Jesus or anything sacred. The movie is a parody of cults, followers and misinterpretation.

No, I am not talking about the 60s series – that one is a piece of art in itself – I am talking of course about Batman and Robin a movie that made less sense than the Adam West series.
