Watch the motion capture for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

It is still a bit of time until Caesar (Andy Serkis) will return in the sequel to 2011’s surprise hit Rise of the Planet of the Apes titled Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Directed by Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) the sequel will focus on the surviving humans as they try to cope with the rise of this new dominant species. Now a behind the scenes video sheds some light on the actors behind the digital apes.

Aside from Serkis there is also stunt coordinator Terry Notary who is known for his movement choreographies in The Hobbit, Avatar and of course Rise of the Planet of the Apes reprising his role as Rocket. Hopefully the team will further bring emotions into this strange yet beautiful story.
