Paul Greengrass is not only responsible for two Bourne movies (Supremacy and Ultimatum), he not only has a best director Oscar-nomination for United 93, right now he is also coming into cinemas with his critically acclaimed Captain Phillips – a dramatisation of the Somali pirate incident 2009. And according to Badass Digest (via movieswithbutter) he is now in talks to direct the adaption of Stephen King’s massive post apocalyptic novel The Stand. After David Yates, Ben Affleck and Scott Cooper left the project it seems as if The Stand might be too big to happen (Dark Tower, anyone?). But Greengrass might fit very well to direct Stephen King’s lengthy battle between good and evil.
